Demonstrating the power of the telephone from San Francisco to Guthrie Oklahoma - it reads “Distance, 2600 miles: rate $13.45 for first three minutes, $4.15 each additional minute: voice traveled at the rate of 56,000 miles per hour: 1,130 tons of copper wire and 99,450 polls used: $2,450,000 invested in Oklahoma-California line: first talk from Oklahoma made by E.S. Bronson, of El Reno.
