They brought the ducks but didn't have a dinner on them. Washington, D.C., March 8. The Biological Survey Department of the Interior Department this morning took several crates of ducks to a waterfowl sanctuary near Washington on the Potomac River and released them as part of the survey's experiment on the travel of ducks. Here, Dr. Ira N. Gavrielson, chief of the biological survey, is releasing one of the wild ducks, 3-8-40
