Unknown Gross Family

I found this in a box full of old photos after my mother died. They could be her grandparents or Uncle and Aunt. I just don't know. I was told Granddaddy was called Cotton Top because he was so blonde so I don't think its him.

These are people in the Gross Family of Florida, Alabama and Georgia, my grandfather was Cornelius Oscar Gross, his father was Gustavus Adolphus, son of John Robert Gross, son of Ellison, son of Solomon Jr., son of Solomon Sr. Gross. Can anyone help me out?
