Walter Aitken
I have an old photograph of Rev. Walter AIKEN which was taken at the Anderson Studio in Springfield, IL sometime in the 1890's. Walter appears to be in his 20's at the time the photograph was taken. A note on the back of the photograph indicates that it is "the property of Harold Pence". I believe the correct spelling of the surname may be AITKEN and based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Walter and his family:

Rev. Walter AITKEN was b. 22 Jun 1869 in Stirling, Scotland to parents Walter AITKEN and Margaret BROWNLEE. Walter married Maud or Maude Fay COLE (1867-1944) on 18 Jul 1894 in Sangamon County, IL. The couple had three children including Geraldine; Margradell or Margradill; and Coleita or Caleita or Coletta AITKEN, all born between 1895 and 1900. In 1900 the family was living in Williams, IL. Walter died 10 Oct 1951 in Normal, IL and is buried in the Park Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bloomington, IL.

I am hoping to get the photograph back to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
