Walter Robert Calway
I have an old studio photograph of Walter CALWAY which was taken at the Drake Studio in Neillsville, WI with Walter appearing to be in his teens at the time it was taken. Based on limited research and thanks to area genealogists I was able to gather the following information regarding Walter and his family:

Walter Robert CALWAY was b. 10 Dec 1871 in Neillsville, WI to parents Samuel B. CALWAY (1843-1924) and Catherine RAINEY (1842-1925) who were married 28 Feb 1865 in St. Gilles, Quebec, Canada. Walter was one of 5 children born to this couple including Albert William Samuel; Walter Robert; Sarah Clementine; Inez Lillian; and Forrest or Forest Delwin CALWAY, all born between 1867 and 1880. Walter married Julia Martha REITZ (1873-1971) on 5 May 1892 in Neillsville, WI and they had two children including, Vernon “Vern” Delwin CALWAY (1893-1977) and Berneice or Bernice or Bereneice Lilas CALWAY (1895-1925).

Walter died 21 Jan 1955 in Douglas County, OR and is buried in the Riverview Cemetery in Portland, OR. When Walter’s son Vern died at the age of 84, he was survived by one son Wallace A. CALWAY of Oak Ridge, TN and three grandchildren. I believe that one of those grandchildren was Robert Vern CALWAY b. 1952 and living in Oak Ridge, TN and another was Gerald Alan CALWAY b. 1957 and living in Farragut, TN.

I’d like to get this photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or you know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
