Wayne C Wyers

Wayne Cornelius Wyers was born to parents Cornelius Harlan Wyers (1928-2015) and Ethel Marie Bell (1939-1981) who were both born in West Virginia. He had siblings Sharon, Dollie, and 2 brothers as well as another sister. Wayne met his wife Priscilla in high school. They dated for a while and broke apart after a few months. In 1975, they reunited by chance when Priscilla was having a baby and Wayne's wife Sharlotte was also having a baby in the same hospital. He ended up divorcing his wife and dating Priscilla. Wayne then married Priscilla, who had a child named Mary from that previous relationship, and they had 3 more children together: a daughter and two sons. Unfortunately, Priscilla and Wayne's relationship turned out in tragedy. Wayne was shot in February 1987 by his stepdaughter Mary Bailey (age 11 at the time) at the command of her mother Priscilla Wyers. See Juvenile who shot stepfather may be tried in court as adult . Police had been called out to Wayne and Priscilla's home before he was shot because of a dispute with a neighbor and a verbal fight between Wayne and Priscilla. Priscilla had been cheating on Wayne and their family car had been wrecked by the wife's boyfriend. A heated exchange and some physical attacks occurred. On the morning of February 24th 1987, Priscilla woke Mary and led her to the living room of their home where she found a .22 caliber rifle propped next to the couch where Wayne was sleeping.
