William Meaker was born on July 23, 1802 in Hillsdale, Columbia County, New York United States to Eli Meaker and Deborah Holmes Meaker, and had siblings Cynthia (Meeker) Wilbur, Samuel H. Meeker, Abigail (Meaker) Borst, Melinda (Meaker) Martin, Nelson Meaker, Eli Meeker, Joshua Meaker, and Andrew J Meaker. He was the father of William Coon Meeker.
