Probably saw no combat action during the Civil War due to debilitating illness. Drowned in the Mississippi River at Helena in May 1863. His letters from home were saved by another soldier and published in a book called "Bushwhackers and Broken Hearts."

My older brother Michael-I lost him to colorectal cancer 8/21/2020 he was a great friend, awesome brother uncle and he would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar if he thought you needed it. My heart aches when I think of not being able to call him or seeing him again.

My dad use to drag race in tucson az and he worked at Tp & e for over 40 yrs and was in Navy when i was born in cali. My dad had 1 brother an 2 sisters many necies and nef and grand kids and great grandkids .he was married to jennie marie weinell / laney irean drennen.

Well lets see, all I know is my grandfather is John Barton currently from Ca. He has around 7 children including my father David Edward Barton currently from Pa. I was told as a young adult that I am indian and that one of my late relatives is Clara Barton, the angle of the battlefield.....
