The Grusendorf family was related to the Grastorf family. My grandfather, John W. Grastorf, of Wellsville, New York, introduced me to a teenage Grusendorf whom he told me was my cousin. This meeting took place at what was then the annual Grastorf family reunion held on the Grastorf farm, about a mile north of Wellsville. The year was about 1926. I attended two,perhaps three,such reunions before the tradition was ended.

Married Elizabeth Bohler in 1855; she was born in Germany; have five children-John, Augusta, Bertha, Emma and Amanda.

Dora Grusendorf married Fredrich Quartz on June 21, 1857 in Clinton County, Iowa. They were the parents of seven children: John, William, Isabella Caroline, Mary, Charles, Anna, and Emma.
We did not find a stone for her or any record of a burial place, but it is assumed that she is buried here near her husband because her obituary indicated that she was buried "from the homestead". Someone added a photo*, but there does not appear to be anything readable on it so it is not known whether or not it is actually hers.
