I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jennibel MCARTHUR which was taken at the H. Rocher & Co. Studio in Chicago, IL. Jennibel appears to be in her teens at the time the photograph was taken. In addition to her name, notes on the back of the photograph indicate that Jennibel gifted the photograph with the inscription "Lovingly your Cousin Jennibel" and that others wrote "Kitties Cousin" and "died at 16". Based on limited research I was able to locate the following regarding Jennibel and her family:
Jennibel MCARTHUR or MACARTHUR was b. abt 1868 in Oneida Co. NY to parents Archibald MACARTHUR (1836-1907) and Kittie MACARTHUR (b. 1838). Jennibel was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Alice Maud; Fred; John Roope; Jennibel; and Flossie B. MACARTHUR, all born between 1858 and 1871. Jennibel died in Chicago, IL on 12 Nov 1886 and is buried in Mt. Morris, NY.
