[NAME/SUMMARY] Whyte, William Muir (18 Jan 1889 ~ 7 Nov 1971), Service#=2524 [NOTE] {🞺} My grandfather         William Muir Whyte was my grandfather. He fought in the 1st World War from 1916, returning home to Australia in 1919. Although he grew up in the Prahran area, after the War he spent his life living in Chelsea, Victoria at 18 Embankment Grove.         He was married to Euphemia Lillian Whyte (nee Brear) and they had 4 children (3 girls and a boy). He was later Grandfather to 8 Grandchildren. Upon returning from the War he resumed duties with the Melbourne City Council as an electrician. At one point later on, he was responsible for electrical work done on the Shrine of Remembrance.         He was also a keen pigeon racer, with his birds holding a number of racing records. Jenny Amy Whyte of BC Canada was born in July 1913 in Canada County, BC to George Naismith Whyte and Mary Jane Whyte (Knox). Jenny Whyte died on May 29, 1914.

John James Whyte was born in 1853 to Matthew Deverell Whyte and Charlotte Caroline (Marsh) Whyte, and died at age 72 years old in 1925 in Manly, NSW Australia. We do have a life long relationship that that begun as far back as the mid 1950's we moved in next to each other as neighbours in Campbellville, Guyana. The relationship grew with seemingly familial bonds as Mrs White joined our Mother in being one of two female figureheads overlooking the growing kids, sharing time , meals and most of all love. She was very much a mother to all of us ; well respected and loved offering guidance wherever necessary in her quiet and unassuming manner. Matthew Deverell Whyte of Liverpool Australia was born on January 1, 1820 in Greater London County, England United Kingdom. Matthew was baptized on February 24, 1820 in Middlesex. He married Charlotte Caroline (Marsh) Whyte on July 16, 1843 in Greater London County, and they were married until Charlotte's death on April 28, 1867. They had a child John James Whyte. He also married Rachel Louise (Pitt) Whyte in 1880, and they were married until Matthew's death on July 27, 1889.

Alfred was my dad.He did not know his mum ( MJ S (w) Lyons.he only knew the couple that he lived with since childhood.He was known as Alfred Connelly.Great shock to my dad when he found out his real name,when applying for a birth cert.,.

Lindsay Charles Whyte of Kew, City of Boroondara County, VIC Australia was born on March 20, 1937 to Margaret Doris Wheelhouse and Norman Peter Whyte. Lindsay Whyte died at age 27 years old in 1964 in Kew.
