Texas Families

This photo was found in the album of the late Frances Logan Gillam of Florida (born PA) and does not seem to be a family member.

Can anyone help date the foto? From the clothing, is it a boy or girl? Is the child a blonde? Do not believe there would have been blondes in the Italian family and do not think it is from the Gillam side.

From album of Mary Randazzo Logan of Nesquehoning, Carbon Co.,PA. May have been taken in Italy or NY.

...this IS my most wonderful grandfather... ...the classic country loving and caring grandfather... who spent hours and hours with me taking me on adventures down thru the local creeks, challenging me to climb flag poles, and then rewarding me anyway when I did not quite make it, but tried... ...always a smile, and always a helping hand...my grandmother ever watching and waiting her turn at nite when I would sleep with her on the screened in back porch in a huge feather bed... knowing that she would see me at least three times before then at her wonderful meals... ...when my grandfather died of a heart attack, my grandmother began dying, too... ...she finally joined him around nine months later... I know she died from a broken heart... my still aches after all these years... ...the memories will always be there though... thank God for memories... ...you reach a point where that is all there is left... ...my grandfather loved to "hunt" for leaves, birds, bugs, lizards, rocks and such on our little excursions... ...and what a story-teller he was... ...his hands ever so soft making you feel ever so content... ...but most of all, I remember the day he took me to the 5 & Dime.... remember those... ...he told me I could have anything I wanted... ...anything I thought... ...and way up on the top of this counter, on the very top most shelf, sat this "weanie" dog made of furry brown material with satin pink ears and a button nose and the most wonderful eyes... ...and it was the most expensive toy there... and I didn't even have to say anything to him.... he saw me looking at it, and he said... "well, that's it then" and he grabbed it and we went to the counter and he paid for it... ...he was just so special... I will miss them both dearly forever, but they are always always in my heart...

This photo was in the same estate (of Dorothy Gall) as photos with the names Baumann, Schumacher/Shoemaker, Kroenke, Schaeffer, Miller, Behrhorst, Mohnken, and Palmer. One family lived in Cole Camp, MO.

This was in a bunch of photos I recently got from someone who purchased them at an auction in Arcadia, Wisc.

I don't know any more about the picture than the name, I'm sorry to say. I bought it from Ebay.

The back of this photo says "Margaret Elizabeth Haskell, 5 months old, and weighs 19 1/4 lbs." The photo was taken in Ottawa, Ohio, by photographer "Arnold."

This photo was developed on August 22, 1944. Billy Don was 4 1/2 months old. All stated on back of photo.

I purchased this photo from Ebay. It's a photo postcard, given from Evangeline Huling to Carrie B. Fox. I have no further information about the photo's history! This is a close-up of the family in my other entry for this family, Huling family home.

On the back of the photo is handwritten, "Mr & Mrs Salamon Dallaire,
La Chute Mills, PQ,
Thursday Eve,
July 20, 1911"

The name may well be Solomon but seems to be clearly written as Salamon when compared with other "a"s and "o"s.

The photo was purchased in a lot from Ebay. Unfortunately, I have no information whatsoever on the family. I don't even have a record of where the seller was from. I just thought I'd enter it on the off-chance someone already has record of this person in their family tree.
