2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

I am currently a School Counselor at Los Obispos Middle School in Laredo, Texas. My passion is to work with kids and help them develop the self-esteem and confidence that everything that they set their minds to accomplish is very possible with hard work and dedication. Life is a precious gift, and every day we are alive is a true blessing if we see it as such! I am convinced that our perspective on life and the way we react to situations that occur makes all the difference! We choose to be happy, and we certainly choose the attitude we will embrace over any circumstance. One of my favorite quotes is from Charles Swindoll which reads, “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it!” this quote made me reevaluate everything in my life and appreciate all my blessings! Working with kids for the past 14 years as a teacher and now as a school counselor has truly changed my perspective on life as well, I’ve learned to appreciate their innocence and joy but also to live each day to the fullest, as they motivate me each day to continue going and to never give up, this is my passion and I am blessed to be able to do this.
