2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Robert J Archambault
Robert was the proud husband to Priscilla A. (Simard) Archambault, married on December 26, 1957. He had four children. Robert Joseph Jr., Ann Marie, Lori Ann and Nancy Ellen. He was a very intelligent man and worked as a Facilty Engineer for General Electric. Determined to graduate high school before his children, he and Priscilla took the needed night classes and exams to obtain genuine high school diplomas in 1980. Robert was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He loved fiercely and was very protective to those he considered his family, blood or not. My father was strong, vibrant and had a quick French temper but could laugh with the best of them. He enjoyed his first granddaughter, Elizabeth (Robert Jr.'s first daughter) but had passed before Catherine was born to Robert Jr.. He also, unfortunately, never saw my daughter Amanda being born but I know he was watching from heaven. I remember that he loved to watch candlepin bowling on Saturday mornings and Disney on Sunday nights. I remember the deers he brought home and hung from a tree in the backyard. The neighbors were horrified...at first. No, always. But the venison was worth it. I remember all of the ducks, geese and fish he brought home as well. In his last years, diabetes took a lot of his freedom of movement from him. It is a sneaky disease. My husband and I had moved in with them at that time, November 2000 to be more exact, so that we could pursue fertility treatments to have my daughter. I believe he knew he would only be with us for a short time more. His big laugh and striking good looks will stay in my memory forever. I miss you and love you Dad. Love, Ann.
