This is a photo of my Grandma also known as Mamaw to most of us. Also in the photo with her is Rosa Lee Robison whom I believe is an Aunt of hers. Mamaw was 17 years old when the photo was taken. Born in Utica, Hinds co.,Mississippi 4 Apr. 1888

Arabell'Belle' was named after the Ship the Arabella that brought our Ancestors over to America in 1630 to Salem, Mass.

Josephine Caroline Starnes- WWII stationed in Naples,Italy-1944. Served as Long Distance over seas operator in communications. Handled one of General Patton's calls and Ike's calls. Also stationed for a time in Algers,Africa.

Thomas Wadsworth Starnes Sr. of Jackson, Hinds County, Mississippi United States was born on November 1, 1884 in Barlow, Copiah County. He was married to Isadora Dunning (Herren) on April 29, 1906 in Gallman, Copiah County, and died at age 58 years old on October 11, 1943. Thomas Starnes was buried at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Jackson, Hinds County.
