2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Robert Lee Mauldin, better known as Bob, was a much loved and respected man in his community. He was a quiet man with more patience than anyone I have ever met.
He had a remarkable memory. In fact, many of his family members suspected he had hyperthymesia or the very rare ability to recall every detail of one's life. He would tell his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren stories about his life and other family members' lives when they were growing up all with remarkable detail.
One of his favorite stories to tell was how he first learned to drive a car when he was eleven.
He was the kind of man who always found the good in a situation, and he always cared for others. He took care of his first wife Mazie Clement Mauldin without any complaint when she was bedridden for over a decade.
He helped out any of his grandchildren whenever he came to him with a problem, and he never judged their life choices.
