He was my dad. My name is "Jerry Arthur Newcomb". He had one of the very best women made by Almighty God as his mother, "Ruth Ahlin McConnell Newcomb" she was my Grandma." He got his loving heart from her and I also got it. So did my sister "Dawn Elizabeth Newcomb" and my little brother "Arthur Wayne Newcomb"!!! He got his middle name from my grandmothers dad, his grandfather, Alexander Wellman McConnell. A little tidbit if really cool info about his death. He was born on bad Friday (Friday the 13th) He died on Good Friday. I am His son and was born on Good Friday. He died 52 good Fridays from my birth. He died 1977 years from the celebrated day of the crucifixion of Jesus. Two days later was my birthday, 1977 years from the resurrection of Jesus, and two days before his death was my little brothers birthday, two day before his death. My little brother turned 33, and that is how old Jesus was when He was crucified! I was 19 in 1977 and Jesus is 77th from Adam! That is just too cool! That helped me get over his death! My dad did many things with me and for me as I grew up. He taught me many things. I learned the good things, for instance be good and nice to people and I watched him be not so nice to my mom and that taught me to never be anything other than good to a woman. He was an example of both good and bad. I love him very much. In 1967 he got me into baseball, basketball and football. That was really cool and we did that together. He was always my coach and manager of every team I was on. He truly did love me and my sister both. I even went to work with him and he let me do things too, I helped him and his work buddies, they loved my dad as he was the kind of man that everyone loved. He had a son because he cheated on my mom. But it was for the best. Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." This was most certainly the case for his cheating. I have now a GREAT little brother that I love with all my heart! My dad was not perfect, but he did love the best way he knew how. He did not do very well in his last marriage, she was a genuine selfish snake (I pray for her WICKED soul). I will always love my dad and cannot wait to see him again. I love you dad......
