B29 City of Trenton Air Crew- May 1945 Guam: Staff Sgt Albert Leroy Lockwood, Jr (center) was the tail gunner. The crew earned the Distinquished Flying Cross for their 25 missions bombing Japan during WWII. Their plane was the City of Trenton. Their former plane, the City of Bakersfield, ditched in the sea near Iwo Jima on May 14, 1945. All crew members survived. The plane was named for the home town of Albert Lockwood,- Trenton, N.J.

Dave moved from Philadephia to Pennsauken, NJ as a child. He had two brothers and two sisters. Dave was very athletic and had a big heart. He was my best friend and the best man at my wedding. Unfortunately, he battled Diabetes his whole life causing his premature passing. I miss him dearly.

Lillian Bowers Lockwood of Pennsauken Township, Camden County, New Jersey United States was born in 1889 in Stoke-on-Trent, Stoke-on-Trent County, England United Kingdom, and died at age 80 years old on April 17, 1970 in Pennsauken Township, Camden County, New Jersey United States. Lillian Lockwood was buried circa April 20, 1970 at Lakeview Cemetary in Cinnaminson, Burlington County.
