Paris Fashion Week 1913
Paris Fashion Week 1913
They may not have had fashion week in Paris in 1913, but these ladies were at some event and they were the height of fashion. Especially the lady on the left - the furs, the jewels, the gloves, the shoes . . . shorten her skirt and she'd be at home at fashion week today.

Dying for Fashion
Dying for Fashion
A model in 1939, dying for fashion. This fashion shoot took place in a dolphin tank at Marineland, Florida. Look at the bubbles - she's expelling air like mad. And I'll tell you the truth - I can't really see the dress. Doesn't make me want to buy it!

Poiret Fashion
Modeling Poiret fashion of the current season - 1914 - for Gimbels. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in their retrospective of Poiret, said that Paul Poiret "more than any other designer of the twentieth century . . . elevated fashion to the status of an artform." She certainly looks like she is modeling art!
