As a silversmith she made a challis, a sake set, a ladle, silverware and jewelry. When she turned eighteen, she became a naturalized citizen of the USA and changed her name to Alexandra Helene, which she kept for the rest of her life. Later in life, she moved to Hawaii and became a paralegal. Belonged to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Was a Notary Public, and then became a practicing lawyer. She never married or had any children although she had numerous suitors.
