Alton K. Jones, Sr at Texas Fairgrounds
Kenneth Jones worked building some of exhibit buildings around 1949 when he was 22 years old. His memories of these days related to a young rural man's discovery of a major city and lost of young women to date.

I remembered mom playing in the show with me that day so long ago, I can still hear her laughter and see her smile, even though she is no longer with us.

Weldon Ray Jones
Weldon Ray Jones, while in US Army during Korean Conflict. He never served outside the United States, because he became very ill will a major lung infection that even lead to his early discharge. Weldon Ray Jones was from Texas.

Aunt Sue's Place
Aunt Sue was a wonderful woman, who was friend and landlord to Marion Jones and his family from about 1940-1950. Marion sharecropped on her land during this period, until her death. He later moved back to the same farm and share cropped with new owners from 1960 to 1967. Marion retired from farming in 1967. Aunt Sue's Place was located about 12 miles outside of Bynum, Texas on a gravel road off of CR 3157.

Alton Kenneth Jones, Sr
Alton Kenneth Jones was born in Marlin, TX 16 Nov 1927. He went by Kenneth, never really liking the name Alton. He was named after his uncle James Alton Garrison.

This was the home of Alton Kenneth Jones, Sr. and his family from 1957 till about 1975. It's address was 1924 South 24th Street, Waco, TX. It was located beside a Animal Clinic.

The only source of drinking water on the farm was from the well and the open air holding tank pictured behind the car.

Margaret Rosetta Davis born 17 Jul 1873, Died 13 Jul 1946. According to her grandchildren she loved to sing and cook. Believed to be living with her Uncle and Aunt in 1880 Hunt Co., TX.
