2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Alice E Thurlow of Etna, Penobscot County, ME was born on September 25, 1896 in Dexter. She was married to Henry Thurlow, and had a child Othniel B Thurlow. Alice Thurlow died at age 74 years old in April 1971.
He was born in Hiram, Me., April 27, 1893, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orthniel Thurlow. He was a painter and spent most of his life in the Dexter-Corinna area.
Survivors include one son, Orthniel Thurlow of Hallowell; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie DiArezzo of Augusta, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren

He was the son of Henry and Alice Thurlow. Othniel was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps as an airplane mechanic in England. He worked as Maintenance Supervisor at Pine Tree Tannery in Howland for many years. Othniel enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was well known in the area for his abilities working on small engines and outboard motors. After retiring he enjoyed travelling with his wife, Madeline. He attended the Enfield Baptist Church.
