Thomas Herbert Gibson born in Echuca Victoria Australia. He was one of 4 children the eldest being annetta, then Gavan then Herbert then Murray.
His mother was Victoria Keck, daughter of Herbert Keck MLC who had a famous nursery in Bendigo, and establish the Orange groves in Barham.
Thomas Married Marion Brown of Elmore.
They had three Children the eldest being Alison, then Joseph then Herbert. The young Herbert took and medical degree At Monash Universty but died young. Alison became a pharmacist and Joseph a school principle both are still alive.
Thomas H joined the Victoria Police and eventually became a detective. He quit the Police force quite suddenly and became the licensee of a hotel in Bendigo ( now the Chinese Cultural Centre) near Bridge Street. The business however failed and and he went to work for the Country Roads Board for some years, and his wife Marion worked at the Shamrock hotel.
