Amelia Rosas was born on December 16, 1919 in Los Angeles County, California. Her father is Joe L Rosas, and her mom is Cruz Rodriquez. Her mom died when she was only 10, so she was raised mostly by her cousin. She married World War 2 veteran Juan Cortez Ortiz in October 19, 1944. They had 6 kids together. When her husband left in 1955 she raised them all by herself. She was beloved by all her family. She died in October 19, 1994 in Los Angeles, California.
Juan Cortez Ortiz was born on January 28, 1921 in Michoacán, Mexico. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and married Amelia Rosas before he fought in World War 2. After World War 2, he became a Clerk. He left his wife and 6 kids in 1955, and became a heavy drinker. He died in August 3, 1995 in Los Angeles, California due to heavy drinking.
