Nettie Weixler married Sheldon Baker
This picture was found among the belongings of my Grandfather Sheldon BAKER in Shelby, Oceana Co., MI.
Do you recognize this very lovely woman? This picture is believed to be a color rendering of my grandfather BAKER'S first wife Nettie WEIXLER. She died in 1907 at age 32 and is buried in the same cemetary as my grandfather. I have a photo of the family marker and her headstone. Recent research may connect her to a George WEIXLER in Benona Twp., Oceana Co. MI. George was a Civil War Veteran who fought with the 13th Michigan Infantry Regiment. He may also have purchased land in Benona Twp.

Baker Home in Michigan
This is the home of my grandparents Sheldon and Martha Dzur Baker. I was a frequent visitor in the 1940's and 50's . The house address was 79 White Street near the corner of the old Hwy thru town. The house number changed a couple of times but I believe it was always on White Street.
