2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Frank Nicholas Metz, was my grandfather, from my mother's side (his daughter). His parents migrated to Michigan from Germany. He was the oldest child & had 5 younger sisters. He joined the army & spent some time in Germany in WW2. He had an early arranged marriage to his first wife that only lasted a short time (I believe her name was Elizabeth), which produced 2 son's Alan & Jimmy. Soon he met my grandmother Genevieve Sholnik (I maybe wrong on the last names spelling) around 1954ish. Their first daughter Jan was born very sick & died around age 4 of lukemia. Several years later my mother Carolyn Ann Metz was born in 1961 in Detroit, Michigan. About 1975 the 3 of them moved to Las Vegas. Carolyn had 3 kids, Rebecca & Brittney & Brandon. Frank lived a wonderful life with Jenny the love of his life & spent nearly everyday along side his daughter & grandchildren until he passed in 2000.
