She had 5 children when she married (born 1905-1911), the first two to Walter Johnstone and 3 to 'father unknown', the last three children with the surname Robinson (Florence's maiden name). Clement and Florence Maud do not appear to have had children together. They were paid to foster from infancy Roma Evelyn Mason (later known as Shirley Mason or Shirley Lang - born in 1925 at Jack River near Yarram (South Gippsland) illegitimate daughter of Iris Alma Mason (aged 18 at time of birth) .Iris was the daughter of timber contractor Phillip Mason of Yarram and his wife Ann Foy.
