Unknown city
Unknown city
Arial view of an unknown European city ravaged by bombing and found among the effects of a late RAF bomber navigator (F/Sgt. Reubin A Scragg 12 Sq. RAF) who was shot down and killed over Holland in 1942.

Among my cousin's personal effects. He was a New Zealand Flight Sergeant Navigator, Reubin A. Scragg, on a Wellington Bomber shot down in Holland September 1942. There is no title to this photo and may be a small camera snap taken when training or over enemy teritory during a mission. Family members have always wanted to know where this town is and someone may recognise it. the original is only 120 fim frame size and is very indistinct and possibly covered with smoke or a haze. If anyone thinks they know where this is , please email me. Thanks, Bert.

2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
