2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Mrs. Aucoin was the absolute BEST teacher I ever had! She taught me math for two years and science for three. The mathematics concepts I REMEMBER and UTILIZE almost daily, are those she taught me. I remember SO WELL the DEBATES she used to have with a classmate, Alvarez Minor! How strange it is to find that she passed on HIS birthday! Lucky for me that I got to speak to her shortly before her passing (she said she couldn't talk long because she was on her way to Bingo! lol!). She was still a whippersnapper! LOL ! At first, I was surprised that she remembered me when I called her out of the blue some 20 or more years after she had taught me. But after reflecting on the Mrs. Aucoin that I knew, I realized I shouldn't have been surprised at all! I should have expected as much from Mrs. Aucoin. Lord knows New Orleans schools could use many a teacher like her these days! Rest well Mrs. Aucoin, I have NO doubt that God is pleased with the work you did here on earth. It wouldn't surprise me if you've got some little angel who has stepped out of line by the ear! LOL! I'm sure you're keeping them ALL straight in Heaven! LOL! I will always LOVE and think of you!
You are in some of my BEST memories!
