Wedding of George & Rosemary Gilbert
My parents', George and Rosemary Gilbert, wedding photo with their parents. This was a coming together of a well-to-do family with a family of first generation immigrants. When I look at this picture it isn't clear to me who's who. My mom was the child of Irish immigrants.

This photo of George R Gilbert, 1926, a happy baby boy, was taken in Bay City MI. George was the second child of Marck and Maizie Gilbert. His brother did not survive infancy. George was named after his maternal grandfather, George Washington. This was not the famous George Washington!
