Deborah Lou (Surmaitis) Roe was born on May 28, 1954 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania United States to Walter E Surmaitis and Lucille Gayzik Surmaitis, and has siblings Richard Walter Surmaitis and Beverly Ann Surmaitis. Lucille Gayzik Surmaitis was born on January 27, 1932 in Dickson City, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania United States. She was married to Walter E Surmaitis on August 1, 1953, and they were together until Walter's death on November 16, 2001 in Spring Hill, Hernando County, Florida. She had children Deborah Lou (Surmaitis) Roe, Richard Walter Surmaitis, and Beverly Ann Surmaitis. Lucille Surmaitis died at age 88 years old on October 21, 2020 at Hernando Hospice House in Brooksville, Hernando County, and was buried at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave, in Bushnell, Sumter County.
