Unknown male from James A Green estate
Found with several other portraits done in same style, one of the subjects died in 1879. Most of the portraits are on canvas. They seem to be some kind of photographic image with charcoal and pastel enhancement-highlighting.
Could this be an ancestor of James A Green or his wife Beulah Borger? Surnames include Greenzweig, Green, Kuehner, Lorah, Strohl, Boyer (his side), Borger, Costenbader, Koch, Christman (hers). Green owned and operated the Little Gap Store, which he purchased from his father-in-law, Abraham Borger, postmaster in Little Gap.
