2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Perry David Watts of Searcy County, Arkansas United States was born on March 13, 1872, and died at age 57 years old on October 18, 1929 at Searcy Couny, arkansas. Perry Watts was buried at Hall Cemetery.

Oliver contracted typhoid fever while in the army and was honorably discharged. In his pension application, he states that he was disabled in his back, hips, and legs as a result of the typhoid fever. He was never able to follow his occupation as a farmer after that.
It was also mentioned in his pension application that he was born in Dayton, OH and married Hester in Morgan Co., OH on May 6, 1869. There is a discrepancy about his death date. One place in the pension record, says that he died July 10, 1881, and another place says he died in February of 1881.
Oliver was born in Ohio and later moved to Illinois with Hester. This is where their two sons Stephen Decatur and Perry David were born. After staying a few years in Illinois, they moved to Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas. All of this information came from the pension application also.

Hester (Harvey) Watts of Arkansas United States was born circa 1843, and died at age 36 years old on November 10, 1880.
