2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
Lillian M Bedford
Lillian (Driza or Deromedi ) Bedford was born to Ben Driza or Deromedi (1885 - 1955) and Catherine Pozzati (1886 - 1974). She had siblings Mary, Louis, Elvira, Edward, Alma, and Basil. In the 1950 census, Lillian Drizo was married to Frank Drizo, age 32, and they had children James Drizo, age 5, and Gerald Drizo, age 2. The family was living on South 4th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Frank was a truck driver with a "trucking outfit" and Lillian was "keeping house". Lillian Driza married Donald H. Bedford (1922 - 1990) on January 13, 1954 in Fredericksburg, Virginia and they had children Brent "Chuck" and Edward John. She also had a child, Frances Driza, (1944 - 1949). There are reports that this is the Lillian Bedford who was a foster mother in Philadelphia and who murdered four of her foster children. Read Over Half a Century... Still No Prosecution to read more about the experience of two of her foster children.
