2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Virginia Mae (Matthews) Soberalski was born on November 4, 1934 in Ludington, Mason County, Michigan United States, and died at age 73 years old on September 18, 2008 in Ludington. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Virginia Mae (Matthews) Soberalski.

I was the youngest grandchild of Gerald and Virginia. To be honest, I was closer with them in relationship and distance than I was with my paternal grandparents (distance played a huge part in that). I always loved going over to Grandma and Grandpa Soberalski's house. Most of the time, I always made sure I had a package of beef snack sticks from the local Schoenberger's market so Grandpa and I could share and also share with the dog. He also assisted me with feeding 3 baby calves, one of them I actually got to witness being born. He always called me 'Duff Duff'. I have no idea what it means lol. I miss my grandpa and grandma every day and I wish they could be here physically to see me get married in almost 3 months. -Chelsea
