2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
BERT, WALTER AND MINNIE MARCHANT
BERT, WALTER AND MINNIE MARCHANT
The of the children of John Marchant and Anna Fear.I suspect that the female pictured if is Nellie Marchant my adoptive great grandmother and her brothers Bert (far left)and Walter (center). Original from Wales, the Marchant's came to America, arriving New York in 1881 (the year Nellie ws born). They moved westward to Iowa,Then Nebaraska, and on to Yamhill, Oregon and finally back to Nebraska, sttling in the Chadron Area. Nellie married Abert (Bert) Robbins, and established a ranch near Aladdin, Wyoming. When they retired they moved to the Hampton Hotel in Belle Fourche South Dakota. INTERESTING ASIDE: When Ann passed away, while visiting her daughter Nellie a funeral was held in Aladdin, after the funeral service the family, Ann's casket and friends boarded a train for the graveside rites at the Pineslope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
