2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

William George McDaniel Sr. was born to Oliver Wilbert McDaniels (1893 - 1980) and Lula Alice Ellis (1896 - 1949). He had siblings Oliver W., Mary O, and 10 more sisters and two more brothers.
William was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the United States Army.
Tall man, slim built, very strict. He was always doing odd jobs for money to feed his family. Had a large family brothers and sisters.
Mother was Canadian?/Caucasian; father African American. They grew up in Erie Pennsylvania in a big house on a hill. His sister Mary would call him by the nickname of "Billy". Mary was married to James L. Lofton they lived in Chicago, IL., he had twin sisters.
William G. McDaniel married Marian McDaniel. He had two daughters with his wife, adopted one girl that was his wife's. He and his wife divorced and he remarried and adopted his then wife's son and gave him his name made him a Jr. His wife, Margaret Hulet McDaniel survived him.
Later on in his life he ended up with very bad health and had to have his leg(s) amputated he had moved from Kalamazoo, MI around this time to Tamms, Alexander IL. 62988 where he lived for several years before passing.
He was an US Army PFC Res: Tamms IL bur.... Burial:
