Dad was a true gentleman. He had a great sense of humor, but took his responsibilities in life very seriously. I remember when we had snow storms that shut down the city, and Dad would literally walk 4 miles to work on snow shoes. In later years, when grandchildren came along, he and my mother would take them fishing, swimming, and have a ball.
