My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

My father was a great man who fought in WWII. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He married Angelina M Calabro in 1945 and had six children , seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren of which he passed before meeting. I am his you best daughter and favorite Dawn Elizabeth Stewart ( Astuto) He was 1 st generation American born. His parents Salvatore Astuto and Salvatrice LoPresti were born in Grotte, Sicily Italy. Alphonse’s real surname was Astuto and at some point in the thirties he family took the name Stewart to avoid discrimination.
