Julia Ford was born on October 18, 1875. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Julia *Carathers* Ford.
Granny was the Doctors wife so she held some Prestige in the town. I remember NO One argued with Granny. I remember her hosting Sunday Tea after church service on most Sunday's. I sat between my Granny Minnie & Grandma Celestia Featherstone (wife of Richard Horace Featherstone - Minnie & Richard Nicholas Featherstone's son) in my Sunday best clothing. Before tea was served I got permission from Granny to leave, but I had to curtsy to all the ladies & tell them bye before I was allowed to go with my Grannies housekeeper / cook to Grannies porch & have cookies & milk. I was never allowed in Grannies kitchen. Once she caught me in Granddad's study & I got a whooping for being there. Granddad was the local Doctor & as I was told as I got older he became the Parish Coroner ( still looking for history about that ). Grannies home which she designed & had built ** on the highest point in Dubach ** was quite grand to my memory. I wish someone in the town history had a picture of it. My Grandparents lived across the driveway , so I could leave Grannies & go to Grandma & Grandpa's home & change into my pedal pushers & tennis shoes have more cookies & milk then go out & play.

Minnie Eudora (Carathers) Featherstone of Dubach, Lincoln County, Louisiana was born on October 18, 1875 in Lisbon, Claiborne Parish County, LA. United States, and had a sister Julia *Carathers* Ford. Minnie Featherstone died at age 101 years old on February 2, 1977 in Bernice, Union Parish County, LA, and was buried at Rocky Springs Cemetery, Lisbon, Claiborn Parish, LA..
