About me:

I WAS BORN IN CHICAGO,AFTER THE ARMY I WENT TO MODERN BARBER COLLEGE IN 1961 ON MADISON AND LAFLIN STREETS. THERE WAS A WAITING LIST FOR CHICAGO AND MOLLER BARBER SCHOOLS WHERE MY FRIENDS WENT SO I WENT HERE. I SPENT 1872 HRS IN SCHOOL AND GRADUATED IN 1962,TOOK A STATE BOARD FOR APPRENTICE AND WORKED 27 MONTHS UNDER MASTER BARBERS. IN 1965 I TOOK MY MASTER BARBER LICENSE . I WORKED IN AREAS LIKE SKOKIE LINCOLNWOOD,OAK PARK ,NORTHLAKE,NORRIDGE ILL.I ENDED UP WORKING FOR LOU COLLETTI ON NEVA AND ADDISON AFTER SELLING MY BARBERSHOP.
I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR STATIONARY ENGINEERING AND TOOK THE CITY OF CHGO EXAM IN 1970 AND I WAS WORKING FOR THE CHGO PARK DIST ALSO.I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR HVAC IN NORRIDGE,ILL IN 1975. I WORKED AT THE ZOO AT THE SEA LION POOL AND VARIOUS PARKS AND ALSO MC FETRIDGE PARK THE 1ST ICE SKATING RINK IN CHGO AT A PARK.
CUT THE ICE WITH A ZAMBONI,TOOK CARE THE REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITING AND IN THE SUMMER THE POOL. IN 1977 I MOVED TO FLORIDA AND WORKED FOR GTE,VERIZON FOR 20 YEARS AND TAUGHT HAIRCUTTING,SHAVING AND FACIALS FOR 7 YEARS TILL 2016.THATS MY STORY.

I'm a Founder of AncientFaces and support the community answering questions & helping members make connections to the past (thus my official title of Founder & Content and Community Support ). For me, it's been a labor of love for over 20 years. I truly believe with all of my heart that everyone should be remembered for generations to come. I am 2nd generation San Jose and have seen a lot of changes in the area while growing up. We used to be known as the "Valley of Heart's Delight" (because the Valley was covered with orchards and there were many canneries to process the food grown here, which shipped all over the US) - now we have adopted the nickname "Capital of Silicon Valley" and Apple, Ebay, Adobe, Netflix, Facebook, and many more tech companies are within a few miles of my current home in San Jose (including AncientFaces). From a small town of 25,000, we have grown to 1 million plus. And when you add in all of the communities surrounding us (for instance, Saratoga, where I attended high school, living a block from our previous Mayor), we are truly one of the big cities in the US. I knew Sam from 1958,i lived in the same neighborhood and we knew the same friends. Sam and i went to a lot of dances together. i learned to dance from a girl that lived not far from Sam and passed his house frequently and later when i was in the Army in 1960 i bought his mothers 1952 Studebaker. Sam's parents were fine people. His dad worked for sears. they had a swimming pool in the back yard and Sam and i use to paint it with his dad every year. later,in 1965 I had a barber shop on Belmont ave. and Sam use to stop bye. Sam and and i had great times together. Sam and i grew up in Chicago. Frank Cuonzo Seminole,Florida.
