Monroe started as an office boy with Fulton Bag and Cotton Mills in Atlanta, Ga in 1929. By the time he left the firm in 1958 he had risen to Vice President of Sales and a member of their Board of Directors. He later started his own manufacturer's representative business in the textile and paper industry. He retired to a farm in Pembroke, NH in 1976.

E Monroe Hornsby of Suncook, Merrimack County, NH was born on September 8, 1911 to Elijah Mallory Hornsby and Leah Pearl (West) Hornsby. They had a brother Elijah M Hornsby. E Monroe Hornsby died at age 90 years old on March 21, 2002.

Jenniemae (Halsall) Miller of Long Branch, Monmouth County, NJ was born on June 22, 1923, and died at age 63 years old in December 1986.
