Fanny Keck (b.ca.1875-1888, d. unknown)
Fanny Keck, dau. of Jacob Keck (b. 1837 in TN) and Dicey Ann Sipes (b. 16 Sep 1844 in IN) was one of 5 children (Amanda Melvina, Jacob, Myrtle, Fanny, John). She apparently was raised from early childhood by the Robinson family and was taken to Oklahoma as part of the Robinson family and died there.

Christian Keck and Grandson John Keck
Copy of tintype received from Jim Hays, a descendant of Christian Keck, which shows Christian Keck, b. 3 May 1803 in NC and d. 24 April 1882 in IN with his grandson John Keck, b. ca.1863. John Keck's father, John L. Keck (1837-1864) died in the Civil War and his son John is found with his mother and a sister in the Christian Keck household in the 1880 census.

Elizabeth (Edwards) Keck, b. prob. 28 Feb 1820 in Claiborned Co., TN, marr. Henry Keck on 19 May 1839 in Claiborne Co., TN, d. after 1867. Elizabeth was daughter of Spencer Edwards and Catherine Lucinda Riddle. Henry Keck b. 1818/1819 in Claiborne Co., TN, d. 16 Feb 1862 in Lebanon, KY of camp fever during Civil War service.

Joseph A. Keck, b. 9 Dec 1827 on Keck Homestead in Hempfield Twp (near Greensburg), Westmoreland Co., PA. Migrated in 1846 to Van Buren Co., IA. Married Ingaba T. Ebbert on 5 May 1853 in IA. Joseph and Ingaba Keck had 12 children. Joseph is son of Henry Keck (b. 1804, d. 1863) and Mary Ann Hardin (b. 1809, d. 1874). Joseph A. Keck is author of 1901 History of the Keck Family which may be found on BYU Family History Archive web site

Howard Lafayette Keck, son of Phillip and Melinda Keck, was born 18 Apr 1879 in TN, migrated first to Liberty, NE (at age 6 mos.), migrated second to Thomas Co., KS (at age 7 yrs.), and then lived in KS the rest of his life. He was a farmer. Married (1) Clara Zentz and had a son and a daughter; marr. (2) Florence Leota (Miller) Backus who had 3 young Backus daughters. Buried at Beulah Cemetery, Colby, KS.

Catherine Rachel Comer on 8 Mar 1858 in Madison Co., AR, and d. 22 Aug 1917 in Madison Co., AR. Catherine Rachel, dau. of Stephen Ellis and Anna Comer, was b. 16 May 1842 probably in Wilson Co., TN, and d. 27 Jan 1900 in Madison Co., AR. They had 12 children, all b. in Madison Co., AR. They are bur. in Witter Cemetery, Witter, Madison Co., AR.

Young John Keck
Copy of a tintype of John Keck (b. ca. 1863 in IN), grandson of Christian Keck (1803-1882), that I received from Jim Hays, a descendant of Christian Keck. John is the son of John L. Keck (1847-1864) and Nancy Ragle (1840-1911). John L. Keck died in the Civil War, and his wife, daughter Teletha, and son John are found in the Christian Keck household in Indiana in the 1880 census.

She d. 29 Oct 1913 and is bur. in Parker Co., TX. John Henry Seals b. 5 Apr 1843 in Claiborne Co., TN was a son of William and Elizabeth (Strevels) Seals. He was in Co. G., 1st Reg't, AR Infantry in Civil War. He d. 29 Nov 1923 in Claredon, TX and is bur. in Parker Co., TX.

Phillip Keck b. 11 Mar 1856 in Claiborne Co., TN was a son of Philip and Rachel (Goin) Keck. He married Malinda Catherine Dunn 26 Apr 1874 in Claiborne Co., TN. They migrated first to Gage Co., NE in 1879 and second to Thomas Co., KS in 1886. They had 6 daughters and 4 sons. Phillip d. 23 Nov 1936 in Colby, KS. Malinda b. 15 Sep 1858 in TN was a daughter of Benjamin and Seralda (Miller) Dunn. Malinda d. 17 Sep 1949 in Colby, KS. She is buried at Beulah Cemetery in Colby.
