Served the complete 4 years of the Civil War, wounded @ Gettysburg, paroled several months before the Appomattox surrender, as a result, not listed on the rolls of the 10 men who survived of 126 from Leon County, Tx. 1838-1904.

Elbert Clower & his family are buried in the Huntsville city cemetery in Texas, about 60 yds +/- east of Gen. Sam Houston's.
