2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!
John Willard Stettner
John Willard Stettner of Beaverton, Washington County, OR was born on May 3, 1922 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio United States, and died at age 83 years old on July 5, 2005 at Residence SW Village Circle, in Beaverton, Washington County, OR. John Stettner was buried in July 2005 at Willamette National Cemetery SE Mt Scott Blvd, in Portland, Clackamas County.
Newland was the influencing factor that led my father to also become a Presbyterian minister. Newland baptised me at First Presbyterian in Evanston, Illinois. And my whole life he and his wife were known to me as Uncle Newland and Aunt Ruby. They were avid gardeners...especially Newland. I can't think of any other man in my life for whom I had more admiration and respect. He was the only one who could call me Jamie and I didn't mind. (Jim Stettner, 04-07-2019)
