This old photo came back into our family in the late 1950's. It was found inside an old book but no one had the forsight to save the book. I suspect it was a Bible or photo album. The inscription on the back "Lyke, Hudson, NY" tells us it is our relative but someone cut the photo into an oval shape and cut off the first name. There is only a couple persons it could be and the age of the photo would help eliminate some. The material is not really film but looks like a paper photo that has been glued to a heavy board backing that must have been bound in a book.
Could this photo have been printed from a tintype? Does anyone recognize the format or material used? Are there any distinguishing features that would date the photo? Actual size of original is 5 1/4" x 7 1/2".
This could be a photo of any of the three men listed (in "people in photo" below) at the approximate age of 22, depending on the age of the photo.
