Janet Dimelow of Cruikshank St, in Port Melbourne, VIC Australia was born on June 7, 1951 at St Andrews Hospital East Melbourne, in Victoria. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Janet Dimelow.
Betty's parent were older people and both had chronic illnesses. Betty was dux of her school in Kew. Unfortunately because of the depression and her father's illness, Betty had to leave school at 16 and work at the offices of HBV Dimelow as a bookkeeper. She married Val Dimelow in 1950 and had 2 children Janet and Mark (deceased 2017). Janet and she were devoted to each other but Mark at about the age of 19 went to live away from Melbourne, first with the Ananda Marga in Sydney and then in Queensland where his daughter Karuna Dimelow now lives.

Val's full name was Horace Bernard Valentine Dimelow but he was called Val. His parents were Thomas and Margaret (Iles) Dimelow. Val was born in 1897. He was a solicitor. His last firm (from 1951 to 1984) was called HBV Dimelow & Co. He married Enid Claire Blyth (married on October 1, 1924 in Kilda) who died in 1948 (1996 - 1948) and then Norma Betty Taylor-Young who was my mother. I think they married in 1950 (1950 in Toorak, Victoria). Betty worked for Val as a bookkeeper before their marriage. He had two children me, Janet, and Mark (deceased). From 1951 on he lived at 284 Williams Road, Toorak, from 1957 at 9 Moonga Road, Toorak and from 1973 at 14A Yarradale Road Toorak. He died in 1987.
