My mom's side of the family is Swedish (and still lives in Sweden) and she instilled in me lots of Swedish heritage and traditions which has made me who I am today. My dad's side of the family is German and Irish and the most likely the side of the family I get all my freckles from. Family is so important, and welcome everyone to discover more about them, their history, and share about their loved ones who make up the history of who we are!

He was an amazing dad, and wonderful grandfather to my 2 children (Cynthia and Gregory). He was an amazing person... a great dad, a fun dad... and all around awesome person. When I was growing up, dad's work day ended early enough to be home when I got home from school. He would often go to the American Legion Post 12 in Norwalk, CT. He was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during WWII and injured in the Battle of the Bulge. Dad was a short order cook at Curley's Diner in Stamford, CT for many years. He was always fun. He and mom enjoyed going out to dinner, and having friends over to the house. I didn't have to be home for my friends to visit. They all enjoyed spending time with my parents. There isn't a day that goes by that Dad (and Mom) aren't in my thoughts. They are both always missed.

Mildrd (Mayo) Paquet of Athol, Massachusetts United States, was in a relationship with Peter F. Paquet, and has a child Doris Buchta. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Mildred Paquet.
Doris was my mom. I had a lot of friends who loved to visit our home who always enjoyed spending time with Mom and Dad. They were a great group of friends, and I didn't even need to be home for my friends to come and visit. Mom was adorable (all 5 ft, 1 inch and 90 lbs), and always fun, and dad enjoyed my friends every bit as much as mom did. Mom had a wonderful family... her mom and dad in Athol, MA, a sister and brothers in Athol, MA, Lowel, MA, and Bar Harbor, ME. I don't remember how my mom ended up in Connecticut (I was born in Norwalk, CT), but that was where Mom and Dad stayed until their passing. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my mom, and of course my Dad (Bill). My children (Cynthia and Gregory) were, of course very special to them, as Mamie and Goggie were to them.

William Henry Buchta Jr. was born on Feb 10, 1917 in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut, USA to parents William Henry Buchta and Clara W. Taylor (born 1895).
He lived in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut and enlisted on May 1, 1942 in Hartford Connecticut. He was a Paratrooper.
On March 22, 1947 William married Doris Lillian Paquet (1917-1992) in Stamford, Connecticut, USA and they had a daughter together.
