2020 marks 20 years since the inception of AncientFaces. We are the same team who began this community so long ago. Over the years it feels, at least to us, that our family has expanded to include so many. Thank you!

Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Alfred Frederick Blayney.

Gregory John Blayney of Little Shemogue, Westmorland County, NB Canada was born on April 21, 1944 in London, Middlesex County, ON. Family, friend, or fan, this family history biography is for you to remember Gregory John Blayney.

Alfred and his twin brother were adopted by the Blayney family of North Bay Ontario. His birth name was Wells. His father was Arthur Wells and his mother's name was Ellen. Ellen died shortly after he an Albert were born. Arthur died in the Spanish Flu Epidemic in 1919. Three older brothers, Frederick, and twins Gordon and Harvey were sent back to England to be raised by family. My grandfather Alfred and his twin brother Albert were adopted here in Canada.
