About me:
Hello
I am a qualified nurse and a qualified teacher, my home is in South Wales UK, and I am just a young 60 year old.
I have been searching for information about my father Staff Sargeant Arnold Stanley Burnham, and in search of family for about four years.
During this time I now have found a wealth of information regarding my ancestors and I have been fortunate enough to find my family in NYS June of this year.
A bit about my father, he was from Rouses Point NY, he went to Rouses Point High School and graduated in 1933. In January 1943 he was enlisted into the army to Fort Dix in New Jersey, and he came to the UK about 1944, and then went to Cherbourg, and returned to the US in September 1945.
I had lost track after that until I had contact with my fathers family.
My father was a law graduate, he may have worked in the Albany State Bank which is now the Bank of America. He resided in Albany until his death in 1988. Not long before my father died, he went to Rouses Point School and gave a talk to the pupils, and he signed the visitors book, that is how I have his address.
Arnolds mother Georgiana Burnham AKA Pippin Duquette died just one year before her son, there are no immediate family to our knowledge alive except me.
If anyone knows of Arnold or Pippin I would appreciate any information.
I do have two photos of the class of 1933 Rouses Point High School which are photocopies but of poor quality, but I would be pleased to send them to anyone, as the photo is a group photo and names are included.
Many Thanks
Janice
